Are Autumn and Winter Good Times to Buy a Home?

Are the autumn and winter months good times to buy a home? Today we’ll tell you why the answer is yes!

Today we’ll be answering a question we hear often. Are the autumn and winter seasons a good time to buy a home?

In the spring there is more inventory, but there’s also more competition, more buyers, and the market gets further inflated. In the autumn, and especially going into the winter, it’s a wonderful time to buy. One reason is if there are six inches of snow on the ground and it’s ten below zero, sellers know you’re a serious buyer. Those sellers want to sell; they’re also ready to move.

I’ve seen people get great deals in the autumn and heading into the winter months. Always be ready to make a quick decision, no matter the season. Right now we have a strong market, and there are a lot of buyers out there. However, going into the winter months, you might be able to get a better deal on a house as opposed to some of the warmer months.

"If this is a house you want, stay within your budget, but put your best foot forward.”

When placing an offer you may not have a second chance, especially if there are multiple offers on that home. If this is a house you want, stay within your budget, but put your best foot forward.
